I used to have not frequent nightmares, but more that I used to when I was younger. Since not serving as an elder (over a year) and starting our families slow fade I can teel you that I have never slept better in years. I enjoy frequent deep sleeps with lucid, relaxing dreams. I acutually go to bed much earlier than I used too. I can recall frequent late nights and lost sleep which I am sure contributed to the hightmares.

nightmares after leaving
by myownlife inhello everyone, i have been reading the different topics and haven't seen this discussed..... i was raised in the 'truth' and decided when i was 19 this was not for me...but unfortunately it took years after that to finally make the clean break.
during that time and up until about a year ago, i was having strange and disturbing nightmares..it finally came to a head when i dreamed that i cussed out the elders in the congregation i had left.,..woke up in a sweat but felt great!
has anyone else experienced this?

How long is a "generation"?
by cameo-d inthere seems to be so much controversy over defining what exactly a 'generation' is.. i have heard it said a generation is 25 years; some claim it is 40 years; and some even say 70 years.. i think the scriptures describe the 70 years as life expectancy, with mightiness 80 years or something like that.. i don't think it is accurate to define the length of generation as the same length of time as life expectancy, but i could be wrong.. .
anyway, i am wondering if anyone has ever done the math on this scriptural clue:.
matthew 1:17 so all the generations from abraham to david are fourteen generations; and from david until the carrying away into babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into babylon unto christ are fourteen generations.. if one follows the lineage and a date timeline, would this give more accurately the approximation of a generation?.

Me, my dad, my son and grandaughter make up FOUR Generations not one, yet every one of us overlap - but we are not a single generation - never will be. Even if the gb stretched a symbolic familial generation that would only be from my sons' birth to my grandaughters birth, which normally is no more than 20 - 40 years (my case 28). No where in contempory or exant (1st cent) etymolgy is a generation defined as having more than one component.
It is of interest that the writers of this drivel have opted not to use their fondness for quoting definitions or secular authorities - they provide a defination without any backup reference ti support where they got sucha defintion from. Generation comes from the latin word generare meaning to beget. I have yet to find a definition that covers anything but - animate or inanimate.

When did the "tag team" generation start?
by DT inthat seems to be the impression that most people are getting from the recent change in understanding.
however, the recent watchtower article seems to contain some contradictions.
here is a quote:.

Ideas for spinning the change in 'generation' for maximum impact?
by bohm inthe change in the definition of 'generation' is the first major doctrinal change in the time i has been involved with the jehovahs witnesses (allmost a full year!
), and i personally find it pretty exciting since many hear has talked about how the other changes (like the 95 one) caused the first weak wtf moments.. what i wonder about now is how (if?
) one should discuss this topic with active jehovahs witnesses for maximal effect - so to our resident mind-control gurus: what are your plans?.

EVIDENTLY: obviously; apparently
Great usage of word etymology: "Obviously Jesus meant..." vs. Apparently Jesus meant..." when they get caught they will write the following:
WT Apr 2152 QFR: "What evidence is there that Jesus evidentally meant....?"
" When we wrote that Jesus "evidently meant that...." some took that literally to mean that "obviously Jesus meant...." However, while it may have been apparent that Jesus meant... it is now clearer that he was not. Some were under the wrong assumption that it was obvious that the generations overlap and had wrong expectations that the end to come when those born between 1950 and 2014 passed away. We can now see (WT Dec 2151 Page 12) that what was meant is that the annointed coincide in part with each each other. This evidently explains why there were 6,648,321, 478 who partook of the emblems at the 2151 Remembrance of Christ's Expiration."

Pedophilia: Belgium Branch Letter to the BOE
by Nick! inbelgium branch pedophilia letter to the boe.
i have received recently the attached copy of a letter dated january 26 2000, which is supposed to be an official communication to all congregations in belgium, giving instructions on how to deal with pedophilia cases.. .
i am interested to understand if this letter, from the belgium branch, .

The letter has to be fake:
1) Communication with CO is never generally in the same letter as BOE's. WTBS commincates with CO, then CO is expected to reinforce the letter sent to the BOE separately. Often instructions to both groups are different.
2) Intinerant Overseer? - Bad translation or fake?
3) College of Elders? - smacks of RC world - college of cardinals/bishops
4) Closing line - never have I seen the words "pastoral" or "saluations" used in any WTBS communication, it tends to be fairly innocuous.

Nobody from her church visited her - Jan 2010 WT study experience

I am really getting tired of these stories. They border on the ridiculous. I would like to see a regular feature in the WT called: "Whatever Happened too...?". it could go along the lines of:
Jan 2015 "Whatever Happened Too...Featured in Jan 2010":
Recall that nobody from the woman’s church visited. The result? She discarded her images, resigned from her church, and resumed her Bible
study. She eventually got baptized (2011) and made great progress. In July 2012 she suffered a stroke; feeling guilty at the recent article (Mar 2012 - "Willful Forsaking the Gathering of Ourselves Together - an Unforgivable Sin") she struggled to get to the Hall. This sister choose not to be a burden and ask some one to give her a ride to and from the hall - how commendable and unselfish of her! The sister died in December 2012 after falling during field service as her cane gave way on a steep hill. How wonderful that her last thoughts were of being engaged in a life saving work! - her works will go right along with her!Simon Morley
